Fredo is an urban artist. As you can see the crowds reactions to him he is rated highly. It is obvious how many followers Fredo has due to the atmosphere in this video and the reaction of the crowd.

Even Jeremy Corbyn referenced him at this year’s Labour party conference. I think this video would be in the category of urban.

Narrative

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jx96Twg-Aew

This music video has a coming-of-age narrative that details a nameless,13-year-old boy facing rejection, heartbreak, and ultimately enlightenment on the bus-ride home. It shows the Boy getting off the bus, picked up by a chauffeur and his father, who just so happens to be Rick Ross. I think this video is considered to be urban. The audiences perception of Childish Gambino must be positive as if you look at the video on youtube it has over 52 million views!

Influence of commercials

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HDdjwpPM3Y

Nicki Minaj, Jessie J and Ariana Grande are in the new Beats commercial for the Mixr’s and Pill XL in their music video bang bang. With three of the biggest names in pop music right now all appearing in the same video, the stakes were always going to be high. This video is urban. I would say because these artist have such a high status due to their music and who they are, doing this collaboration enticed people in which everyone loves it. If you look on youtube this video as over 1 billion views!
