For one choreographers have to come up with routines of the new dances for their pupils, or spice up one or more of the older routines. However before creating a new routine choreographers meet with music directors to select the right song which fits the dance style precisely. Leadership is a skill choreographers must have because groups of dancers and actors depend almost entirely on them to execute the dance routine. The creativity of the choreographer is important too because with a lack of creativity and innovative style the dance routine may come off to the audience as boring and may seem that not much effort was put into it.
