Physicians usually only helped the rich and had a high education. Surgeons were lower in rank than physicians. Barbers would pull teeth or give blood. Apothecary would be much like what we call a pharmacist today. The church would give spiritual comfort. The wise women helped the people who could not afford physicians(the poor).
