What is Google Classroom actually?

Google Classroom is firstly introduced in 2004 by Google Apps for Education. This platform is to promote interactive learning environment.

This virtual classroom serves a place for teachers to create and post materials (pictures, videos, link), invite students, assign students, conduct quiz and manage administrative needs.

Google Classroom enables teachers to create an online classroom area in which they can manage all the documents that their students need. Documents are stored on Google Drive and can be edited in Drive’s apps, such as Google Docs, Sheets, and so on.

But what separates Google Classroom from the regular Google Drive experience is the teacher/student interface, which Google designed for the way teachers and students think and work.

What does Google Classroom do? Why we should choose Google Classroom ?

· Make assignments: When you create an assignment, you can upload the necessary documents for the students to read or work on. Students receive e-mail notification of new assignment. The students “turn in” the assignments when finished, and you can then grade the assignments.

· Make announcements: If you have a quick announcement for the entire class, you can quickly type in the announcement, which is e-mailed to all your students in the class.

· Store classroom materials: The materials you add to an assignment aren’t the only documents you can store.
Simple Learning with QUIZLET

1. What is the quizlet application? Namely applications or learning media that students can download (free) on their mobile phones to facilitate them in practice or learning.
Quizlet is one of the media for students to remember words and vocabulary. This media allows users to create flashcard sets based on their needs. For example, based on certain learning themes. In learning languages, for example, Quizlet users can create introductory vocabulary sets, job sets, question sets, family sets using a flashcard.
2. Why quizlet, because Quizlet is a new media for us, so we want to find out more about the benefits and advantages of this media that are not found in other media. We think Quizlet is a fun learning medium for children especially those who are just learning basic English such as honing vocabulary, because the quizlet itself provides a variety of learning and game features

Why do you have to use quizlet?

1. This quizlet is free or not paid so it's easy to use for both students and teachers. There are features that will make students more enthusiastic in learning because Quizlet is a kind of game that they can play even though the game in Quizlet contains a variety of questions that come from teaching material that has been displayed on flashcards. For teachers, it will be easier to set teaching material through flashcards and the teacher can adjust whatever learning materials are needed by students
2. Quizlet provides learning media that helps students to
more independent in learning, both through laptops, personal computers, and smartphones
3. Quizlet bridges between students with visual, audio-visual, and kinesthetic learning styles. This is because in the Quizlet application, there are not only images in flashcards, but also buttons for spelling words are also available
4. This learning media is also practically used because it is on the website and application so that it can be accessed
anywhere and anytime both via laptop and smartphone
5. Because the advantage of using this media is that there are flashcards in addition to explanations, students can see the pictures that have been made by the teacher so they can quickly understand the material. And can also test how much vocabulary each student has, this application also makes science/material more simple and effective. Also, students can listen to the existing English pronunciation in each flashcard so that they are easy to pronounce it. At the end of the learning media, there is an evaluation for students so they can understand their mistakes.
6. Quizlet can be used for teachers and students. For teachers to create classes that contain sets of lessons to be taught while for students they can also make their own vocabulary sets to facilitate learning

Existing features in the quizlet

Flashcard: contains a group of cards that can be played randomly
or sequentially either by clicking on a card and the definition will open. These Quizlet cards or flashcards contain material-
teaching materials that have been set by the teacher. Flashcard is not only for eyes
just language lessons but can be for other limu like economics and
accounting can be made material / set of teaching materials in the Quizlet flashcard.
Flashcard can not only be filled with words / terms / definitions of words, it will
but can also be filled with diagrams, graphs, and images.
2. Learn (Learn): this feature contains a set of related questions
with teaching materials that have been provided in the flashcard. Learn feature
almost the same as in the form of Multiple Choice questions, where participants
students can choose one answer that feels right. True or not
the answer choices will be immediately displayed on the screen.
3. Write: Write feature is a form of practice questions such as essays. Then
from that, students will answer the questions provided with
write / type the answer on the screen. The right or wrong answer will be
directly displayed on the application. The uniqueness of the write feature is the user has
the right to claim answers that are considered wrong by the application. This feature
deemed necessary because in written language, errors might occur
typing, so the application reading the answer is wrong, though
actually the answer is correct but a typo.
4. Spellers: spellers are one of the audio-visual media inside
Quizlet In addition to writing, there are also sound recordings that we can
listen as one question. Similar to the writing feature, the spelling feature also requires students to write or type answers
on the screen then the answer will be indicated whether or not correct.
5. Test (Test): In this feature there are forms of essay questions, matching, multiple choice, and
true / false (True / False) based on the set that has been learned.
6. Match (Match): is one of the test tools to match with
the game features disappear as an attraction for users / students. Game Features
This disappears when students drag two matching words,
then these words will disappear. If participants can make all the words
disappears, then the student has completed all the tests in the feature
this well.
7. Live: Quizlet Live is the most interesting feature, this is due
because participants can group and create groups later
competing in working on the Quizlet Live test simultaneously. Score
The highest will be displayed directly on the screen after the Live session
ends. Live or live "is a feature in the quizlet that is used to test students' understanding of the sets that have been given online, live can be played with individuals or groups for individuals can be played at least 2 people and for groups of at least 4 people, for each group's features group
Must answer correctly because of one Incorrect answers will cause the group to start from the beginning.
to learn more about this media we provided website link https://quizlet.com
for more information about quizlet please check this out
