My name is Igor. I am 12 years old and I am in 6^th grade in Primary School. I live in the south of Poland, in a small village – Klaj. I have a younger brother Leon, who is 3 years old and a younger sister Olga, who is 9 years old. I enjoy doing a lot of summer and winter sports, but my favorites are football, running, hiking in the mountains and skiing. Few times a week I have football trainings. Krakowiak - lively and popular Polish folk dance from the vicinity of Cracow, one of the Polish national dances, in 2/4 time and in a characteristic, syncopated rhythm. The name of the dance comes from 17th century and referred to a group of dances with their own local names: pasing, trotting, chased, scalmierzak, run and others. At the end of the 18th century, the characteristic syncopated rhythms of the Cracovian appeared in symphonic music, and at the beginning of the 19th century this dance became popular in stage and instrumental music.
