Since 2019, Joseph Torda has been involved in the agency’s Insurance Fraud Unit, where he works with investigators in criminal cases to review arrest warrants and other documents. Joe Torda also serves on the Gun Violence Task Force, where he participates in numerous investigations every week, spanning illegal firearms, armed robberies, and other crimes. Prior to this, he spent five years as an assistant state’s attorney with the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney, in Florida, which he joined in 2013. A University of Vermont graduate, Joe Torda earned a bachelor of arts in political science and English in 2008. He subsequently attended St. John’s University School of Law, from which he graduated in 2013 with his juris doctor.
