This was not initially part of the agenda for this class, however, was much needed as there were a lot of measures that had to be accounted for to ensure that the radiograph was taken correctly and to minimise exposure. For the rest of the session, we were introduced to the different diagnostic tests by our supervisors, including the cold test (using CO2) which was demonstrated to us as well. It was interesting to see it being dispensed from the CO2 tank and how cold it can get, allowing us to perceive its purpose in detecting the vitality of teeth. A fracture finder (or tooth sleuth) was also demonstrated to us as a diagnostic tool for teeth. This was a hard block where we bite to determine the presence of cracks on teeth.
