(2) Setting - The Fae World. Kingdom of Elfhame.
(3) Conflict - Jude has basically become Queen of Elfhame, ruling behind the scenes. But, to get their she almost broke everyone she loved trust and severed her friendship with them. She has conflicting feeling about opening up to her twin sister Taryn. Taryn lied to her and tricked her, leaving Jude stunned. Jude had pushed her away but, she was her twin sister and only friend in her world. She has lost Madocs trust and love and is left with nothing. She is slowly changing into a worse person and that person is not to her liking.

It must have been horrible for her because he had been almost he only father she really could remember, not only had she lost her friendship with Taryn but her friendship with Madoc as well.
(2) Jude's family was torn away from her by the Fae once and I really understood her pain when it got torn away again because of the Fae world. Now, her foster father Madoc and Taryn had betrayed her, and Vivienne and Oak had escaped to the mortal world, but in doing so Jude was left all alone. I really understood why after that she didn't trust anybody and tore any friendships that she still had.
(3) I wonder how differently the story would have gone if Jude hadn't found out Oak was a prince. Oak was her foster brother and a Fae but she still cared for him like a real brother. When she learned of Madocs plan to rule through him, Jude was forced into action and forced her way to get Cardan on the throne so that she could send Oak away to live a normal child's life. The major way The Wicked King was a window because it introduced me to the Fae world(a fantasy one)and the ways of kingdoms of the old.
(1) I live on Earth our world that we all know so their is know way a fantasy world could ever be a mirror for me. Although it may have similarities in the end it will still be a window.
(2) It introduced me to the life of kingdoms, and kingdoms are thing of the past in today's world. It showed me how their are different parties in a kingdom, different courts, and very different social classes and the large line between royalty and the poor.
A way that this book was a mirror was the discrimination and hardships of our world. For example, humans are discriminated and are regarded as a different species to the Fae due to this most humans living in the Fae world are slaves. This relates to the BLM movement today as well as the history of slavery throughout history that is still seen in certain places today. This book also was a mirror to the ever going act of bullying, which I have seen before, although nothing bad. I have started to open my horizon to different genres other than just fantasy which is big for me as in the past I have stuck with Fantasy.
Another way is that some of the books I have read have had closer connections with the world today than ones I have read in the past. Three books for example being, The Cruel Prince, The Wicked King and The rule of Three.
