The Renaissance also saw the rise of authors such as Zora Neale Hurston. </div>]]></description>

Albert Bacon Fall granted two companies exclusive rights to the reserves. The leasing came under investigation and Fall was convicted of accepting a bribe. The scandal occurred from 1921 to 1923.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Scopes Trial was a legal case the was put Darwin's theory of evolution against the bible. The trial saw a substitute science teacher, John Scopes, prosecuted for teaching evolution. The trial was held on July 21, 1925. William Jennings Bryan presented the prosecution and Clarence Darrow came to Scopes' defense. The trial ended with Scopes being found guilty and being fined $100.</div>]]></description>
