Kyle earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he both played lacrosse and coached the local High School team. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne school and both the basic and advanced officer courses through the US Army Air Defense Artillery School. Although he did not complete his MBA, Kyle MacGibbon has completed master’s level business coursework through the University of Texas El Paso. At the end of his successful military career, Kyle MacGibbon began a distinguished 29 year career at Abbott Laboratories. He started as diagnostic sales representative with Abbott Diagnostics in Houston, Texas. He went on to accept promotions to a series of Abbott sales and management jobs in multiple US states. He spent the last 15 years of his career in multiple product development and Global Marketing positions. He throughly enjoyed the Global Business. and working with colleagues across in all international markets. Over the course of his field sales & marketing career with Abbott, he qualified for the Abbott President's Club a total of six times. During his Global Marketing years he worked numerous different jobs with increased responsibilities and he received the highly prestigious Abbott Chairman's Award for his product development and marketing excellence .
