Coding is a language that is used by programmers to tell a computer what to do. Coding has different leves: firmware is the most basic form of code, it tells the hardware how to function and what its basic functions are; the kernel of an OS is the next level up, it is the base code of an OS and it is able to directly talk with the firmware of a computer and can translate the calls of the programs and APIs that the computer uses into 0 and 1 that the computer can understand, and API is a set of instructions that allow a specific program to work with all the pieces of hardware that the API is compliant with, and finally, the programs that we can download and program ourselves are the highest level.
