Choosing to genetic test is a personal choice, individual of every family. I don't think it is either good nor bad, as it is just a way to gather information about your child sooner than later. If anything, it can give a family a head start on preparation to ensure the child has the best life possible.

I do think that genetic testing is okay. It is a good idea, because if your child has any disabilities, then you will know before actually giving birth. It allows for you to prepare for anything to go wrong. When the baby is born you will have a better understanding and idea of how and where to get help. However, it could cause some worry and anxiety, but I think that knowing before you give birth will help prepare better then knowing after

I am not sure if it would harm the baby or not but just to be safe I would say no. I also would love the baby no matter what so there would be no need to know until after birth. In some cases though it may be good.

I think that genetic testing is a good option to have. Being able to prepare their future based on the traits of your child is easier than getting all the information about them when they are born. It is understandable that a mother wouldn't want to have the test done because they don't want it to change the way they view their child.

There are many different pros and cons to genetic testing. It could be good because then the parents could be prepared if their child has some abnormalities. On the other hand, it could be bad because if the child does have abnormalities, then the parents might be worried and anxious about their child, the test(s) could cause some side effects, and the parents might not want the child because of the abnormalities. If it were me, I would not want to know.

genetic testing is a good idea because if ur child has a disability and it requires lots of equipment or medication, you can be prepared. It prepares someone to take care of your child no matter the circumstance. One con is if the condition is really deadly, it is sad knowing that your child is at risk.

I think it is important to think about your baby's health and this is a good way to get an idea on what the future holds. It may be cause the parents to worry, but there could also be good outcomes from the test. I feel it is just a good way to ensure the baby's health.

I believe that genetic testing in utero can be both good and bad. Genetic testing allows the parents of a child to best prepare for their coming infant since children with different genetic disorders have different needs. Genetic testing can also help parents make decisions about whether they can sufficiently provide for their child and its needs, and if not find alternatives such as adoption so that their child can be sufficiently provided for. However, genetic testing is a personal choice and can lead to worry and anxiety for the parents of the child. Also, genetic testing could lead to pressure from medical professionals to terminate the pregnancy, which might not align with the child's parents' views.

Genetic testing is a personal choice, but I would want to know any genetic abnormalities the baby might have, as it would give time to prepare for the special needs of the child. Though it can be hard to find out about a disability your child may have and some may take very differently than others. This can be from both the parents and classmates when the child starts school. You would have to think about how you would see your child, if you believe that you will look at your child differently in a negative way, don't do the testing, but if you want for the sake of the child, do.

I think that genetic testing in utero is overall a good idea. This is because if the child does happen to have a genetic abnormality, the parent can have enough time to prepare both mentally and by buying the necessary equipment to properly care for the child. It would not be so great if the child was born without any heads up of a disability. One con of utero genetic testing is that it may change the parents' view of the child and they may change their minds about having the child.

For example it is beneficial because it provides crucial information, about a child, that the parents can use to better the child's life. On the contrary, knowing possible bad characteristics or abnormalities may cause the parents to have a negative outlook of the child and potentially not want it.
