One of the things I read in this chapter that I liked a lot, was the student survey that goes out to parents. I liked the idea of making parents and students realized that is okay if we all do things at different times at our own pace. What matters is that we will get there with the help and support that will be provided.

In a differential classroom, there would be more visuals in the presentations. Visuals and videos would help with engagement in the classroom. The students also like hand on activities. For math, using manipulative is a good way to help learning.

Students and parents will have access to different modalities on the content. I.e audiobooks, rewordified documents, front loaded vocabulary. Color coded presentation slides for visual learners.

I would like to meet with the parents and students to explain differentiated instruction. Additionally, I'd use ask the child a few questions about their learning style. For example, I like to ask my students if they're comfortable typing or writing. I have some students who better express themselves when they're typing. I would explain how the classroom or lesson may be set up for that student by letting the parent know that a device may be provided.
I would explain that differentiated instruction gears toward the abilities of children and helps them reach goals with methods that are more suitable for the child. Basically, I will meet the student where they are in terms of academics and techniques to help bring the student up.
