TV Show "Designated Survivor"

This television show is an example of the powers outlined in Article II. It's about a lower-level cabinet member who, after everyone above him for taking over presidency dies, is quickly forced to become president. The show is a good example of all the rules, expectations, and outcomes of the president and his actions, which is showcasing the executive branch that Article II outlines.

This song (an amazing song) showcases the power that the executive branch, the president, who is the commander in chief of the Army, has to declare war. The song is about the horrifying views of war ("in the fields the bodies burning") . This is due to "politicians" who "hide themselves away. They only started the war." This makes me think of the president: A person who has the power to declare war, but doesn't ever actually see the fighting. "Treating people just like pawns in chess." They tell us when to fight and we do it without question.

Mr. Holmes

The clip on Mr. Holmes discovering the third floor can showcase the executive branch if you think of Mr.Holmes as a president. The residents of the home (the citizens) identified a problem and brought it to Mr. Holmes. He then identified all of the issues with the third floor and make a plan, a blueprint, on how to fix it up. He then, with the help of his team (could be congress) agreed on the resolution and got the job done, fixing up the problem. The president made the executive decisions and passed it along to the people.
