This next week is Teacher Appreciation week! IHS Key Club wants to honor our teachers by allowing students to share their appreciation. These can be short letters or videos, and they can address a whole department or a specific teacher. You don't have to be in their class to say thank you. All of our IHS staff have worked so hard this year, even during these tough circumstances. Let's thank them for their hard work!

YOU HAVE BEEN SUCH AN AMAZING TEACHER! I know I am not in your Math Class but there was no Student Council tab LOL, so this was the closest to it. Thank you for guiding our class but still giving us the freedom to lead the school in the ways that we see best fit. You have been a friend when in need to me and our entire class, and for that I am very thankful:) Have a good rest f the year and "Summer Break"!

Thank you for helping in your class even though we both are well aware that I am the opposite of a Calc-prodigy . Even though i may have had a few (many*) struggles in your class, you helped me through them and worked along side me to help me reach my goals in your class. Thank you for making math fun

Thank you for being my favorite teacher senior year!!! Calculus is definitely not my best subject (sorry!), but I loved coming to class everyday! I'm going to miss 1B

You are one if the best math teachers I have had in a long time. Its so fun when im in your class, and its funny how you call me Shriya with an I and the other shreeya, Shreeya with an e. You always make time to explain problems that are difficult for me, and its funny when you prove my whole table wrong when we are arguing over the answer to a problem.

Thank you for being such a funny and helpful teacher in class. I always had really annoying and frequent questions but you always helped me out. Thank you for also always putting effort into your students and uploading every key and video to each document to make sure we succeed. All of us will miss you next year!

I miss having you as a teacher SO much. You are super funny and such a good teacher. You always kept me pretty engaged:) I know I was pretty loud n kind of annoying so thanks for putting up w me. Thank you being an awesome teacher and awesome academic decathlon coach. You are my favorite math teacher so far. You are open and friendly, and you care for the whole class. I am going to miss your class so much, but I am glad that next year you will still be the academic decathlon coach. I have learnt more in this class than I have learnt in the past 2 years 😂. Thank you again for being my teacher.

Hi Mrs.Hobson! Im gonna miss being in your classroom now that i'm graduating and i am so thankful for everything you have taught me! You made my time at ihs so much more special and i couldn't have asked for a better role model while at independence. You are one of the main reasons i want to go into teaching after college, and i can't thank you enough for always being there for me and my friends to always go to when we were being over dramatic and stressing lol. Coach Todd thanks for making pre-cal stress free and being a great teacher. I usually hate math but you were a great teacher and I learned so much. Thanks for helping me and ella with all our questions. This has been one of my favorite classes this year, so thank you for that!

Thank you so much for everything you've done for me this year. Calculus is hard, and I spent a lot of the year in the front seat of the struggle bus, but you helped me get to a place where I know I'm prepared to go forward with advanced math knowledge. I miss you lots!
