Played in Suicide Squad by Jared Leto, the Joker is one of Batman's most famous villains and even appeared in the first comic book in 1940. The bizarre appearance of the villain is due to an accident during an attempted robbery of a jewelry store. Persecuted by Batman himself, the Joker decides to play in a barrel full of chemicals to escape, and ends up being given as dead. However, some comics later he goes back to the story completely crazy and disfigured, kicking off the life of the Joker as we know him.

Like Batman himself, he does not have superpowers, but rather relies on his intelligence, henchmen, and engineering concepts to produce traps and ambushes. In addition, the Joker usually uses their nightclubs as a facade to carry out their crimes. In the new plot, Joker is not actually in the Suicide Squad, but his partner, Harley Quinn, who accompanies him in his criminal activities. To help our dear readers understand the universe of villains who are about to invade our lives, we decided to make a little handbook of who is who in the Suicide Squad - as well as explain a little of what this group is all about, how it came about And what was the main objective. The important thing is that, being a group of villains (very crazy and complex), we can expect anything from the movie
The Suicide Squadron is an adventure comic and superhero (or not) that first appeared in The Brave and The Bold No. 25 of 1959. In the original plot, the Squadron was a paramilitary operative unit that fought overpopular threats from the American government - that is, they went to super dangerous missions that normal DC heroes would never accept. The original commander of the original team was Captain Richard Flag, and remembering: the first Squadron was composed only of soldiers who agreed to work for the government on this type of mission, nothing to do with superheroes or villains yet.

In the 1950s, shortly after the death of Captain Richard Flag, the Squadron became an elite force assigned to secret missions abroad. Richard Flag's son, Richard Flag Jr. - who grew up under General J.E.B. Stuart (from the Comics of the Bad-Haunted Tank), became Air Force Colonel and leader of a renewed Suicide Squad. Again, for bad sales from DC, the group was dissolved and eliminated from the stories.
In the 1960s, inspired by the TV series Mission Impossible and by the film The Twelve Convicted, screenwriter John Ostrander decided to bring back the Squad in Legends magazine, but not with ordinary soldiers but with super villains! It was explained to the readers of the comics that, decades after the original Suicide Squad, Amanda Waller (who will be in the new film), reconstituted the group's formula, offering criminals, pardon or reduction of sentence in exchange for participation Of them in super dangerous and super secret operations. Each schedule was given an explosive bracelet prepared to detonate if they attempted to flee or if they became a national security hazard. Richard Flag Jr. was recruited as the group's field leader!

As the Suicide Squad can be made up of any DC Comics villain, the variety of formations and characters is inexhaustible!
