I chose this picture because it makes me think of life. We live on Earth where life is valuable. Plants are valuable to us because they give us many resources we need to live. Plants give us oxygen, medicine, and nutrients. Animals feed off of plants, which give us food because we eat animals, such as deer, cows, and pigs. This picture is a beautiful image of how plants are valuable just like us.
http://www.professionalchoiceinsurance.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/371/2015/05/conservation.jpg

I chose this video because it explains photosynthesis in a non complex way. I understood clearly that carbon dioxide, water, and sunlight are all a major part of photosynthesis. Yes, I knew those were major parts, but this made it clearer and kids could understand it. I also liked how it broke up the leaves, chloroplasts, and mesophyll cell. It made a clear understanding about how we breathe in the air and we exhale and it is given to the plants. I loved the way this video explained photosynthesis and that is why I chose it. https://binged.it/2CMcmp1

In Georgia, we can look all around us and we see pine cones. Pine cones are part of gymnosperms and are very common in Georgia. The taxonomic name for Gymnosperms is Acrogymnospermae, but they are also referred to as the "naked-seed". Conifers are the most common types of gymnosperms. There are "4,588 species listed as gymnosperms". That is a lot of species to be able to keep up with. I find it very interesting about the different plant types and how many there are in this world.
http://www.theplantlist.org/browse/G/http://science.kennesaw.edu/jmcneal7/plantsys/gymnosperms.html

The temperate deciduous forests are in danger. These forests are covered in trees and wildlife. How people live in the world today, is really going to impact the future of this particular biome. As we continue to build and construct buildings and houses, the less trees we will have. There will not be enough trees to hold the wildlife, such as squirrels and birds. When I see this picture, which is posted below, I think of how green the Earth use to look. Now, it does not look like that anymore, and it slowly turning all dark and gloomy. Eventually there will be no wildlife nor trees in the deciduous forest biomes.
http://mahnoorabbasqureshi.blogspot.com/2014/03/2-deforestation-effects.html

The Neolithic Revolution affected the human population in many different ways. One major impact that comes to mind, is poverty. Since the people depended on crops so much, if they did not have enough to feed everybody, people would die. They had to make sure their was enough crops, especially during winter. When the people decided they wanted to stay, instead of moving to try to find food, a king was put into place. This was a negative impact because it was about the more wealthy people who did not have to do any work because they had slaves. Some positive things would be a steady food supply. The more people, the more crops that would come in because everybody would be working. A handful of people would not make enough crops to last a week, more less a season of winter. These are just a few of the major impacts that have had an effect on the Neolithic Revolution.
https://www.slideshare.net/darkyla/neolithic-revolution-9324053

The Third Agricultural Revolution is also known as the Green Revolution. It is called the Green Revolution because of the increase of fertilizers used in crops. By using fertilizers, the quality of crops improved and it eliminated crops. It also helped farmers use the same amount of land but could grow more crops. I chose this picture because it shows what they used to fertilize the crops. It shows a difference from what they did back in the days from what they do now.
https://aphgagreviewmohler.weebly.com/the-third-agricultural-revolution.html

Nicotine is on the most commonly used chemicals in the world. Nicotine is a chemical that contains nitrogen, and is made by several types of plants. One of the most common plant types is tobacco. We hear of tobacco because that is what is used in cigarettes. Some side effects of nicotine are heart problems and hormone problems. Nicotine is very influential, but not in a good way. It can potentially kill a person. Millions of people use nicotine daily, which is very harmful to the body. I chose this picture because people are abusing nicotine. Nicotine should be used for medical attention, instead of a persons wants or needs.
https://tobacco21.org/nicotine-and-the-developing-human/nicotine/

In this picture, one side is bright and beautiful, and the other side is all dark and gloomy. This is exactly what will happen to our planet if we continue to practice unhealthy habits. I chose this picture because as we continue to cut down trees, drive in your vehicles, and destroy the plant, it made me think what the Earth would actually look like in the future. Everybody imagines flying cars, teleporting, and giant skyscrapers, but it is going to be the complete opposite of that. If we do not keep up with the agriculture, social affects, economy, and political practices, we may not have a planet to live on. Once we go too far in, there may be no turning back.
http://sandhillssentinel.com/nc-ozone-season-ends-fewest-unhealthy-days/
