The reason I believe it should exist is because it lets the smaller states have a fair chance of voting because if there was not an electoral college the popular vote would come from the bigger states like California, Texas, New York, Florida, etc. Also, bigger states get more electoral votes than smaller states which is unfair because if a president gets the majority in bigger states then the smaller states electoral vote will barely count because they barely have any electoral votes. The reason I believe it should not exist is because it doesn't really feel like we have a say as to who the president/vice president will be since it's based on electoral votes. The Electoral College is the one who is deciding our president/vice president.
