Since I have been placed in pharmacy store. So I must know the function of pharmacy store is to supply medicine as the request of pharmacy for outpatient and inpatient. I learned that outpatient is patient that see doctor and bring the medicine back home to consume. Inpatient is patient that admitted in the hospital and been given medicine to consume.

These prescription is also related to the hospital profit.

All these prescription counted according to discharge, daycare, outpatient, staff, visiting doctors and specialist clinic was called as census. The census got two that was outpatient and inpatient census. The all above about the discharge, etc are all outpatient and inpatient census, I need to take from the pharmacy assistant and clip together with outpatient. 

These figure will need to key in excel and send email to our boss every morning. This census is my responsible job to do every morning.

Psychotropic means that the drug that can affect the mental activity and causes abnormal behaviour. Miss Yiew (registered pharmacist) explained to me the procedure of in and out stock of the drugs. The shelf contains of drugs diazepam (brand name: valium), midazolam (brand name: dormicum) that have the function to relax mind and also sleeping agent. There are also drugs like morphine, pethidine and also fentanyl added by Miss KP (head of pharmacy). Morphine and pethidine which from the same opioid group that also called as narcotic which means that it change the ways the brain respond to pain and it treat moderate to severe pain. Fentanyl is used to treat cancer pain and can also used as anesthesia that also in the same opioid group. Anesthesia is drug injected to patient during the time of operation so that the patient won't feel the pain while operation. 

Whenever the in stock or out stock of dangerous and psychotropic, the person whom in charge was the registered pharmacist. Sunday off. This hospital quite high technology because it had a pneumatic tube system. So, what is it?. Pneumatic tube system is used to send all document to other department without wasting time to walk to the department. It had tube to been shot to upside by using air pressure to the department that been set. Each department had code so when they want shot, they will press the code number represent specific department and shot to it. 

Any document, blood test, dry medicine like tablet can send through this pneumatic tube system. The disadvantage is all fridge medicine and glass type form of medicine cannot use the system to shot.

Finally I have opportunities to visit places that normally people can't access except staff such as medical records, hemodialysis, stress testroom, endoscopy room, lab and wards. Then, tomorrow continued. Went back pharmacy and did issues return for medicine. Lastly, met miss kp to asked permission to wellness clinic for a day/ half day and to go to hr to exchange knowledge with Durga (coursemate). Durga can also come to store pharmacy to exchange knowledge with me. Next, updated miss kp with what I learned this few days.

So, I asked Sri can we use the machine that tear the papers that we can borrow at hr because I don't think so I can able to tear it finished. So, Sri asked kak kamala and she said can.
