Learning how to create low poly art was definitely an interesting experience. I enjoyed doing the work and can see myself doing it in the future.

One problem I did have while doing this work was getting the edges of the triangles to line up. It was quite tricky to judge how close the selections were to each other before you did the blur and because there are so many triangles you have to make, you really don't want to keep undoing your work.

I found this tutorial quite difficult, especially with the Hue/Saturation part of the video, as the "rust" image doesn't seem to differ from when I first placed it onto Hugh Jackman. Despite this, I think I could use this technique to reflect how I personally see how the future will look like in thirty years time. I could take a photo of a dog, find a way to upload it onto the computer and mask an individual layer over the animal, representing the (opinionated) decline in the foreseeable future.

In this tutorial, I managed to distort an image with a copy of that image. More specifically, I learnt how to create a splatter effect on a photo.
Out of all the tutorials I've completed thus far, this has to the hardest I've done, but that's largely down to how photoshop was functioning. Another problem I found was that I used the wrong brush type to reveal the secondary layer from behind the coloured one.
In hindsight, I created a applied a distortion effect rather than a splatter effect to the photo. I also could have cropped out the text at the bottom. In future, I'll have to use a brush labelled under "splatter," or, as the instructor suggested, download some from the internet for Adobe purposes.
With some practice, I can use this method in my current subject to make it look like a figure is disintegrating, reflecting the climate I hope to present in my Zine

Okay lads, so I went a bit overboard with this one, but I think its just because I enjoyed it so much. Today I learned how to create a splatter effect in photoshop. I could use this in the future for surprisingly a lot of things, I've always wanted to know how to create an effect like this, and now I know how which is pretty cool.
After I finished the image I decided to challenge myself by creating some text using the same method, except this time I didn't follow the tutorial and I think it cam out looking pretty good.

For my SOLA Lesson, I learnt how to create a sketch effect. More importantly, I learnt how to alter the image via the layer settings. Whilst Ii found the tutorial very straightforward, the main problem I had was with the final product's look, as it looks like someone drew over various segments with a red crayon (well, any coloured crayon, but I chose red.) The version of photoshop I downloaded at home was struggling to render the image into a larger size, so I had to increase the size of the background image at the last minute. Despite these struggles, I can see myself using this technique to stylize some of my images for my given projects during my course.

(Additionally, I tried the Isometric pixel art, but I found it highly difficult to understand, and the only way I see myself using it is with video game advertising, but I'm not doing that this year)

I am proud to do this tutorial as I loved the many options and to do the sketching for an image.

I did find the tutorial a bit hard when it comes to the colours but that was Photoshop software problem but was fixed. I also believe that this tutorial was a bit fast even with subtitling and I kept missing parts, so I had to repeat go back and recheck again a multiple of times. Deaf problems.

I think that this tutorial would help me in the future when coming to editing the photograph to give a different scenery. Sketching or Paintbrush.

In this tutorial, I have learnt new ways of creating shapes such as the Pizza Base triangle and the crust as well. Not just that, I have learnt a new way of saving the colours into the library to allow me to use it into using the same colour in the future having to through the hassle finding the HEX code. I loved how I created a customised the mushrooms using the Curvature tool which was quick and simple. Not just that I have also learnt new tool and that is Shape Builder Tool which allows me to remove or add the parts of the vegetables; removing parts/edges of the pepperoni to make it look like an actual pizza. Although, this tutorial has also shown me the colour textures for each objects, foods etc, thus this will help me select the colours instead having to search up.

I like how this Sola comes with different tutorials which is useful as the timing is separate and less confusing. I did not find any confusing as I have created a logo before in Adobe Illustrator.

This tutorial would support me into creating a new branding for new and current businesses that requests a new logo design for their branding. I can see myself using this for future assignments for simplicity, i.e., for an animation cycle, or a collage.

Today in my SOLA lesson (/11/11/2020) I learnt how to modify text in Illustrator. More specifically, I found out how to add a gradient to text and other objects. I found this tutorial very easy to understand, even though my finished product isn't verbatim what was shown in the presentation . Regardless, I added what was initially shown in the video, such as vines and leaves, yet didn't manage to complete the mud/soil part of the demonstration. Other than that, I can see myself using the technique to add depth to upcoming projects, like for the title of my forthcoming website for the course. (Additionally, I was tasked with creating cartoon artwork from a scan of my own drawings, but I don't have a printer/scanner at home. However, I will find a way to complete the lesson for next Wednesday, as the instructions seem fairly straightforward)

When doing this I did find it difficult to get the smoothness of the lines but then I also tried to add the smooth fade to it to make it look a lot better than just a lot of lines. I then added a faint colour to make it a little vibrant. However I found this task difficult because I’m not really familiar with the tools I used. I’m not sure if I would use this in my work because I’m not confident with it.

When doing this I found it really difficult to understand and it took me a while to find certain buttons such as the “3D repousse object”. Once I found this I manage to go to the next step but it also took me a while to figure it out. Some of the new skills I’ve learned are the bending option and changing the twist value to different levels to create different twist so that they aren’t all the same levels. If I learn more tools and do a similar tutorial I think it would become a lot easier and I could potentially use it in my own work if needed.

In this tutorial I learnt how to make type art in illustrator and photoshop. I can use these skills if I have to make titles for future projects. I will be honest as I did find this tutorial really difficult, hence why this took very long.

In this tutorial I learnt how to make 3D type art in photoshop. I can use the skills I have learnt today in logos or posters to make them stand out to the audience. I did find this tutorial difficult as the tutorial was outdated and some of the functions weren't working properly so i had to improvise.
