Families may face several effects when there is a drug user in the family. These may include constant fighting, members getting depressed, possible divorces, etc. The difference of a child being an alcoholic rather than the parent may cause more stress because it is their own child destroying their lives and could lead to possible abandonment of the child in some cases. Families need professional help when it comes to an alcohol problem and may need counseling, an increase in their finances in order to sign up for these things, etc.

My expectations for parenthood are quite negative. I can only picture crying babies, dirty diapers, and misbehaved little kids. Kids annoy me so I would not like to raise one and teach one to behave. I have very little patience so I would hate to deal with kids, even if they are my own. I also would expect a lot of money spent on them, which would lead to a huge decrease in me and my husband's finances. I'd rather be financially stable than be stressed about money. I feel like being a parent would be very difficult, tiring, and stressful.

Two people that have passed away in my life that have greatly impacted me were my grandparents. My grandmother died when I was 5 and I only remember sobbing into my grandmother's arms. I was so young at this time which is why I was so inconsolable about it. My grandfather died when I was 9 and me being a bit older, I did not act out as much but the pain was still just as much. I still think of them every now and then and get sad mostly because I only got to experience my life with them for such a small amount of time. I wish I got to know them more and I wish they could see me achieve what I've achieved and see me as I am now. The most painful loss that I ever had to overcome, however, was my dog Heso. What killed me the most about this was because I love animals so much, espcially dogs, and he was the best dog I've ever had and I even had to watch him get put down which was extremely traumatizing for me. I still miss him everyday because it really was a beautiful thing having a dog to always greet you when you come home and having a dog to accompany you all the time and cuddle with. I felt so lonely when losing my dog because he was my best friend. All I could think of was to cry everyday, and that's exactly what I did every day after school. To cope, I simply looked back on all of the pictures and memories with my family and we were all there for each other when the pain of his loss would randomly visit us.

My most indispensable possession would be my phone. I love my phone and always use it. I use it right when I wake up and right before I go to sleep. I even use it in the shower. I use it whenever I'm eating and sometimes in school. I can say I'm addicted to it because there is always something to do on it and it makes me happy.

My future career choice would probably be something in the medical field, I just am not sure on what exactly I want to do yet. The goals I will hopefully be accomplishing are getting my gen eds done at COD and then hopefully transferring to a good 4 year college. I hope to earn some type of degree. Some possible conflicts that may arise in working relationships may include how well I might not work with them due to my shyness and hatred for meeting and talking to new people. The working relationships I have now will be different from the ones oin my career choice due to the fact that down the road things will be different when I'm older. I know these relationships won't be as fun as my high school or work relationships and I know I will have to be more smart and more involved when it comes to effort put into these types of relationships.

My best friend is Tom. He is someone I've known since 7th grade that has been with me through everything ever since. He's gotten the best friend status just by being just like me. We laugh together all the time and do everything together. He always is there for me as well and will always listen to my problems and give me advice to make me feel better. For one to become my friend, like him, they have to laugh at the same things as me and enjoy my company just as much as I enjoy theirs. They also must simply be kind to me and patient and caring. A good first impression of a potential friend would be for them to have a good sense of humor, be nice to me, and do all kinds of random fun stuff with me. What would definitely want me to get to know someone better is if they make me laugh. Usually, it is easy to make me laugh. Humor is the main thing I look for in a friendship, especially in a best friend.
