It is also interesting that in Caulfield Grammar, most of the year twelves also choose to do subjects like Accounting and Commerce in University.

It is evident that the wealth of a country does affect the percentage of women enrolled in tertiary education. Most of the richest countries were at a 50 or beyond with the percentage of females whereas the poorest countries were considerably less than 50 except for Madagascar.

Madagascar is under a semi-presidential representative democratic republic and they have made the effort to address gender equality in their constitution.

In the Congo (the country with the lowest percentage in the top 10 poorest), there are certain laws in the country that state that women must always get permission from the husbands to open a bank account, accept a job, etc. The husband always owns anything their wives have.

Dictatorship and the percentage of women doesn't seem to have a consistent relationship or pattern. Cuba is under dictatorship and still has 61% of women which is very high whereas Eritrea only has a quarter.

Feminism has a strong impact on the percentage of women enrolled. The top 10 had a percentage of 52% or higher. These countries also tend to be richer and more developed, thus allowing the breadth of society to be educated and more progressive in its views on gender equality.
