Personally, i think that international trade is a disadvantage for the UK because it attracts international countries to enter the UK market which leads to some UK companies struggling to compete with them. Also it leads to customers buying too many forigen products

I believe that international trade is a benefit to the UK as well a disadvantage. A disadvantage is that it means that people will have less jobs in the UK if they have got that same product coming into the UK. An advantage is that if the UK isnt able to produce a certain product, they can have another country importing that good into the UK.

I think that international trade could be an advantage to a country because it provides a wider variety of goods , this would lead to sales in their country to increase. Also it could be a disadvantage is that the local productions could suffer because of new competitors

The UK does many things to ensure they are not to many foreign products in the UK. Firstly, they can place a tariff which makes a foreign product more expensive than a product produced in the UK. Also, the UK can have quotas on certain products. This means only a certain amount of a product can be imported into the UK from abroad for example only 100,000 t-shirts made in china are allowed into the UK. Mason Ireland

However, there are some positive sides of international trade. It allows contries to buy products that they can't produce in their own country. Seconly it attracts competiton which can be good for the consumer. This means more things can be bought from anywhere.
