I was at home in Chicago and when I first heard the news the day of January 6th Insurrection, I remember my dad’s reaction didn’t seem too happy and he was very concerned, and confused. It was brutal how trump and members of his circle had led this storm event at the Capitol Hill. Trump did not stop or wasn’t able to stop the insurrection. This history matters because of how the president is one of the dominant individuals that ignore the failure of protection and it is the sense of something that American democracy has changed.

I remember suddenly the television screen showed New York City Twin Towers skyscrapers on fire with an airplane hanging out burning. At the time I thought it was fake or some type of stunt. Then, while watching the building burn, you see a second airplane crush into the second Tower. People was jumping out of burning buildings. Realizing the seen was every real. The emotion from watching people jump to their deaf was every sad. something I will never forget.
