With the kids, I think it is as simple as getting them in the space and using it. I think the activities that we do will excite them and make them want more. My teachers come in and stay with their classes in the makerspace. Communicating to them that allowing students to be makers does not have to take place in the makerspace room. They can do activities anywhere in the school or even outside on the school grounds. Let them know (teachers and students) that they do not have to have certain materials, but should try to create with the ones available. If it does not work out perfectly, then that is alright.
