Christmas Eve - December

For Christmas Eve my family would celebrate with my mom's family or my dad's family. Last year we celebrated with my dad's family and there were a lot of people since my dad has 11 siblings and they all have kids. My family and I got there around 5:30 and barely anyone was there, but around six almost seven, everybody got there. We were outside and we started to eat, there were tamales, menudo, macaroni, chicken, rice, champurrado, soda, water, and flan. After my cousins and I ate we went inside my grandma's house and started to watch some TV. After a while they called us out to do some games, the games were musical chairs, trying to get candy canes in a bowl without using your hands, and another one but I can't remember it too well. My sister and my mom won two games so they got some gift cards. After the games, we were sitting and talking with each other while the kids ran around and played. A while later, they started this game called white elephant, how you played was that you were given a number, I got the number 12, and the person with the number 1 goes up and chooses a random present. You don't know what you get until you open it, once the second person goes up they can choose to either get a present too or steal what the 1st person got and it continues like that until everyone goes. In the end, my family got a blanket, a blender, and slippers. After white elephant, we all just sat and talked and opened our actual presents a little later. After we opened our presents my parents decided it was late and it was time to go home, we said bye to everyone and left.

Going To The Park - September

In September, at the time my best friend Aurora and her brother would give me rides home. That day Aurora and I didn't want to go straight home after school. We came up with the idea that after school all 3 of us could go to Chick-fil-A and go eat at the park. There was one problem, we didn't have any money for food, so Aurora texted her mom and asked her mom if she could send her money so we could get food. Luckily her mom said yes and now we just had to wait for school to end. After school, we got into her brother's car and told him about our plan and he agreed, and we were on our way to Chick-fil-A. Once we got our food we looked for a nice park to go to so we could eat, after a little bit we found this nice park and her brother drove there. The park was nice and there were only two other people there so it was peaceful. After we ate, walked around for a little and we were looking at the ducks that were at the park. After, there were swings and we were there for a while just messing around. Then I had to go home, so we got in the car and I got dropped off. That was one of the most fun days I had last year.

Hanging Out With My Cousin - December

On the second to last day of December, my sister made plans with my cousins to go hang out before our winter break was over. My cousin had a soccer game at twelve, so he didn't get to the house until around two. When he got there we stayed at the house for a little bit before he mentioned he was hungry and my sister offered for us to all go out to eat. While we were in the car we were trying to decide what we should eat, my cousin mentioned going to eat seafood boil and it sounded really good so we decided to go. We went to Boiling Crab, but the wait was an hour and 20 minutes, so we decided to go to this other seafood boil that's in Chino Hills. We got there and they sat us right away, we looked at the menu and decided to get a combo with two pounds of shrimp, one pound of crabfish, potato, and corn with some fries. While we waited for our food we were just talking about random things or about how we were when we were little. Once our food got there all the talking stopped and we all started to eat, after we finished the bag the three of us were still hungry, so we ordered one more pound of shrimp. After we finished the shrimp we paid and started to walk around because the food place was next to the shops. While we walked we decided to stop by and get ice cream and then we got in the car to go home. On the way home we stopped by Target to walk around and also to get some cat food for my cats. After, we went back to my house and stayed there for a little before my sister had to go drop my cousin off at his house, so I said bye to my cousin and that was it.

My Friends Quince - November

A while ago my friend asked me if I could be one of her damas for her quince. I was really happy and honored when she asked and I said yes. About 2 months before the quince my friend and her court, which I was in, had to go to dance lessons so we could learn the dances we would do for her quince. Before we knew it those 2 months went by fast and her quince was the next day. On the day of the quince, I had to get up early to get into my dress, straighten my hair, do my makeup, and make sure I had everything I had to take to the quince. I got to her house by 11:4o and almost the whole court was there by then, we ended up waiting for a while until everybody was ready. My friend decided to have a party bus and all of her court went in the party bus, while inside the bus I just sat down the whole ride. We stopped by CalPoly to take some pictures and that was about an hour. Afterward we were on our way to where my friend was having her quince. During the quince there was a little church ceremony and after we all ate. After a while, it was time for us to dance, the dance went well, and after we did some speeches for her. Later, it was time for us to do the surprise dance and it was fun, after our surprise dance we took some photos and danced, but at almost midnight my family decided it was time to go, so I said bye and went home.

Going Shopping - December

It was before Christmas, like a week before and my sister and I wanted to go shopping because sales were going on. We decided to go on a Monday after I got out of school. We stopped at home for a little bit because one of my Tios was there and we ate with them. A little bit later I got ready to go to the shops with my sister and left the house around 5:30. Once we got to the shops, we went into a store and the whole store was off by 50%. My sister and I were in that store for a little more than an hour and we bought some clothes and went to another store. When we went to Windsor and we found some cute shirts and we only bought one shirt and it was the same shirt so we could match. After that, we decided we were done with shopping and decided to just walk around because we didn't want to go home yet and the weather felt nice to walk in. We decided to go to the car after a while of walking and we came up with the idea of going to get Starbucks, so we ordered it for pick up and we went to go get our drinks. After we got our drinks we decided it was time to go home since it was getting late, so my sister started to drive us home.
