He began his career as an analyst with a Chicago-based firm, where he evaluated and structured municipal bond issues as well as derivative products. Matt Litfin went on from this position to join another Chicago firm, where he served for the next 18 years. Matthew Litfin joined this team as an equity research analyst, where he analyzed and reported on the stocks of publicly traded companies. He became a two-time recipient of the Wall Street Journal Best on the Street award, which recognizes analysts who show particular skill in stock selection. In 2007, Matt Litfin accepted a promotion to the role of co-portfolio manager. Charged with portfolio management responsibility for the firm's small- to mid-cap growth strategy, as well as a new global small-cap growth strategy, he steered these strategies successfully above benchmarks and peer managers. Matthew Litfin comes to his work with an MBA from Harvard University, and he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
