We Three Kings: nice tempo in the beginning, very consistent :) make sure that right hand is louder than left hand (melody should always be the focus point) and make sure not to rush towards the end, this is where you start to lose the tempo you set in the beginning.

Midnight at the Museum: set a tempo to play, when practicing, play extra slow. When you slow down it'll help you with notes and their values. practice with metronome at slow tempo

Taratella: practice with metronome at slow tempo. make sure left hand doesn't overpower your right hand. measure that you find the trickiest are the ones you want to practice the most and even more slowly. this way, you feel more confident in the notes. Work especially hard from measure 31 all the way to the end for notes. TAKE IT SLOW. start from measure 27 when working on the end.

Celebration Rag: Focus on the line where measure 29 starts (practice hands separate times and then play together very slowly. Focus on the ending of the piece.

Stately Procession: Sounds great! Great tempo and energy! Just make sure we can hear the melody loud and clear! Some parts where you pause a little I want you to focus on and practice the notes slowly.

Rustic Dance: Great tempo! very consistent! Just add more energy into your playing and this will be golden!

1. EE Scales: two octaves - be careful with the fingering; practice hands separate first and then together to build muscle memory (don't try to fix fingering while you're playing hands together); read your notes well, there are a lot of new scales (all sharps and flats so make sure you make time to practice these!)

4. Sonatina: make sure you're counting evenly 2 beat per measure, also take your time to read the notes very well and line up your LH and RH properly, begin with hands separate first and slowly put hands together, also follow the correct fingering - it will help a lot

Wonderful job! Today we mainly focused on learning the second page of sonatina and reviewed Footprints in the Snow with the remaining time.

Sonatina - great job sight-reading! You officially have pages 1 and 2 completed hands together! Continue to practice playing both pages hands together, but pay extra attention to the second page since we just learned it. When you have time, start to familiarize yourself with the first two lines of the 3rd page. Go about this with the same process we used to learn the 2nd page: break the lines up measure by measure and learn the right hand by itself, play it about 5 times, learn the left hand, play it about 5 times, and then put both hands together. You got this!

Footprints in the snow - very nicely played, just be careful with some notes here and there. Break down the left hand and analyze the pattern you playing in the left hand alone, and any patterns you may have in the right hand.

Sonatina: Pick spots where you pause and isolate them and repeat them several times VERY slow at a tempo where you don't pause it. after a while, try picking the tempo gradually without pausing it.

Repeat several times, slowly without pause for the first line of the second page. measures 16-20.

Make up your own sections to work on and repeat slowly without pauses. The smaller the section, the easier it is to fix the pause.

Minuet in G: Slow down measure 21 to 24 and always keep the beat steady. Break the measures down into smaller chunks if needed to get the correct notes.

Footprints in the snow: Get ready to record it. Work on memory. work on the spots that give you the most most trouble with the memorizing and repeat them several times with the music and then without the music.

Sonatina: Repeat in small sections several times slowly. Then see the results by playing from the beginning. On each repetition, stop at the beginning of the new section so that you also work on transitions. After repeating sections, play from the start to see the results.

Ragtime: Continue working on it.

Scales: Work on playing it with a nice steady tempo. work on harmonic minor scales. Make sure you follow the fingerings well. Try practicing it with the shakes: Note/shake then stop/note. Continue learning them for Homework.

Missouri River Ballad: Work on putting hands together at a slow tempo. Drill small sections several times correctly. Repeat in small sections daily, work on transition between measures as you drill the sections. See results by playing from beginning. Work at it by drilling it measure by measure then add and work on the transition from the previous measure. Do this till the end of the piece.

Scales: Work on playing it with a nice steady tempo. work on harmonic minor scales. Make sure you follow the fingerings well. Try practicing it playing each note as a whole note held then get half note held and finally into quarter notes all in a steady tempo.

Missouri River Ballad: Work on putting hands together at a slow tempo. Drill small sections several times correctly. Repeat in small sections daily, work on transition between measures as you drill the sections. See results by playing from beginning. Work at it by drilling it measure by measure then add and work on the transition from the previous measure. Do this till the end of the piece. Work on measure 7 with the triplets. Continue learning as much as you can.
