Sustaining Effort & Persistence- Set goals and have the goals visible for students to see them (example: whiteboard). Have group work and make sure students know their roles and expectations. Give immediate feedback to students. Use rubrics to help students track their progress.

Emotional Capacity- Help students learn to manage their emotions and gain motivation.

Kahoot is a game for students that has them answer questions and the students are competing to be on the leaderboard.

Language & Symbols- Help students understand vocabulary and be able to connect with what they are learning. Before reading, introduce vocabulary that students may not know so they will be able to understand the new words. Using audiobooks is also a great way to help.

Building Knowledge- Students need tools to help them understand what they are learning. I like using KWL charts while going over new material.

Expression & Communication- Provide multiple ways for students to show what they have learned.This helps support the different types of learners.

Strategy Development- Monitor the progress of students and change strategies in case students are not grasping the material like they should be.

Using Youtube is a great way to show visuals. There is also a closed caption option that is available. Students can read along.

Google Docs (voice typing) students can voice record to type. This is a great tool for students who struggle spelling or have a hard time typing.
