We think that meat should be grown in the lab instead of doing animal farming. This is because with using Beneficence, we should promote the most good and not killing Cows helps nature and only getting small cells from them will not give any harm to the animal. Another reason for this is because with no maleficence, we should do no harm to animals and only getting a few cells to make meat will not even harm the cow at all but killing them will do harm so we should not harm animals.

We should not switch to cultured meat. First of all, if people are vegetarian, a person who would not eat any meat in her entire life, the population of every meat product like cows and pigs will be greatly large and it might destroy the food chain. Secondly, not eating natural and organic meat and choosing the meat in the lab may not give you the exact calories, fat and etc., it can also be less healthy and it might destroy your healthy and recommended diet. It clearly shows that this does not recommend or promote the principles Autonomy and Informed Consent and Justice. Why? It is shown in the video the process of making the meat, but it does not emphasize or even show the possible side-effects,secondly, Justice, why? Yes, it may be safe for everyone but what if it is for a very high price. The poor or even the average can’t actually buy very expensive meat everyday. And if they do, their budget would be much worse and could end up being poor than it should have been.

Meat should not be grown in laboratories, because this will lead to many farmers losing their jobs, bigger problems for climate change, and last but not least overpopulation of animals. According to Oxford researchers, the production of meat in laboratories may lead to greater problems in climate change because of carbon emissions, while according to Prof Jean-Francois Hocquette, at the French National Institute for Agricultural Research artificial meat would need huge amounts of organic and/or chemical residues in water leading to pollution. Although this may have advantages such as lessening animal cruelty when it comes to proportionality the evil effects outweigh the good advantages. Beneficence also supports this stand because this will benefit farmers and us in the future because this can end up making climate change worst than it already is in the present. Lastly, this is not a good alternative for anybody including vegans since this will usually contain extenders that are not healthy and safe for our bodies.
source:https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-47283162
