Population is constantly changing. Due to the constant change, businesses must produce goods that are appealing to all age groups and all racial groups. For instance, food companies provide healthier food for older people. Companies also provide magazines and instruction manuals in other languages besides English. Businesses also have to accommodate for the constant movement of people in and out of places. When businesses relocate where customers are, they affect the movement of other people in order to obtain a job.

Many employers have adapted to our changing society. Employers now offer daycare in workplace facilities, unpaid leave when a family matter arises, and flexible schedules for their workers. They also allow their workers more decisions in business affairs.

Equal Employment

Even though there are laws demanding equal employment from all employers, some racial groups and minorities find it hard to improve in their work position, rather than obtain a job. For instance, obtaining the job may not be the difficult part. The difficult part is advancing in their job position. If employees had a problem having a woman or African-American manager, those workers would be less likely to be promoted to a high level job title. This is known has the glass ceiling. Many factors contribute to "equal employment."

In order to maintain the GDP of a country, enough people have to live in the country to buy the product. However, as businesses grow, pollution grows due to shipping and factory pollution. To solve the problem of pollution, the prices of disposing certain waste has risen. These prices can be costly to businesses. This puts strains on companies because trading with other businesses in other countries that have weaker pollution laws are no longer smart because of the price difference in products.
