I am both pink and red

I can be broken easily

I am the key to life

Yet I may be a winding rollercoaster

I may be a bright sun

Or a dull moon

Some may yearn my growth

Others only wish to destroy me

I am a complex rainbow

Filled with individuality

For each that I inhabit

They wear me different

I come in many colors,

I am a flower and student.

I am the world’s oldest camera

I am the home of emotion

And a mirror,

reflecting back the way they see you.

I can be ice cold or burning or

I have met a lot of people

Different shapes, different sizes

I can always see them at the top

They always see me when they're low

I’ve lost my ability to catch ones eye as the time goes by

But I still serve my purpose

I can prevent you from falling

But I cannot catch you on the way down

At least you’ll be closer to me

I always take the casual wear and tear lying down

I do enjoy when you walk over me

I am there to protect you

You can depend on me

I am a clear cut story
told in flesh tones
an ode to a smaller history
I am diagrams

a lesson in Identity
I am a heart
giving all
and learning to receive
