SMART GOALS

Specific: A goal for this term is to get a decent class standing knowing that I have failed some quizzes and Long Tests

Measurable: I can track my grades and compute them to get an estimate of my final grading for the term using the PRF.

Attainable: These goals can be done with hardwork and dedication to the subject of math so that I get to pass this subject and provide the teacher with the quality works I give.

Relevant: Looking back at my previous school years I think that tracking my e-portfolio is a good way to see my progress in each level of Math so that I know what are my strengths and what are my weaknesses

Time-Bound: I think that it's all about patience since after I will I will be able to absorb all of these topics into my head and fully understand the lessons and not just memorize the steps that are a part of this topic.

Self-Evaluation

This term was a term full of hardships especially in the math subject since I wasn't really able to catch up on some topics since I had some personal problems in my life which distracted me from the life I was living inside the school. I wouldn't really say it's an excuse but it was really a big thing that bothered me in studying other subjects as well. My performance in math this term for me was not the best, I believe that I can do better in the upcoming terms and hopefully I can catch up, now that I have balanced things in life already. Another thing that kept me from being consistent is how responsible I was, i wasn't really responsible with the things I was handling and so I mixed all of them together and just made a mess of myself. Though I expect a better term this coming 2nd term and hopefully my teacher will be able to see the change that I try to do for myself and for her subject.

Challenges

A challenge I faced a lot was time management, since being a student-athlete is one of the hardest things to do. I had to balance my time in school, my time in training, and my time for homeworks, which is one of the reasons why I submit tasks after the deadline which I plan to make a change this coming 2nd term.

Misconceptions

Misconceptions with the topics:

square root property, sometimes I forget to put the plus-minus when getting the square-root of both sides of the equation leading into a deduction of 0.5 for that item in the quiz or test.

Best Works

For me "best work" is something I really did my best in. For example in one of the quizes, I studied for a whole week for one quiz and still failed, but I know to myself that I did my best. I was very sad and cried a lot since I felt like a disappointment to my family, but my dad knew how much time I spent studying on that test and told me to just keep studying until I get a decent grade in the next test. This was a huge setback for me since I really thought to myself that I did good on that quiz, and to see myself fail had me thinking that what if I was not really good enough for this school? After taking a break from multiple distractions, I finished another quiz and another long-test, and by God's grace I passed those 2.

Collaborative work

We didn't really have a collaborative work in the first term though sometimes our teacher let's us think together when there is a new topic on the board and I would consider this collaborative already. This built chemistry and friendship amongst my calssmates and I did make some new friends in doing this.
