This lorax picture was taken at the canal outside my house. As many man-made environments are, my canal is polluted heavily. This applies to the topic of water pollution because the canal is man-made, and polluted by man made materials. This applies to APES because human impact is a big contributor to pollution on Earth. Ironically, a body of water made by humans is also polluted by humans.

This lorax picture was taken at Deerfield Beach after a high tide receded. This left the seaweed along the shore in little pools. These pools hold a plethora of different species and organisms. This picture applies to the topic of biodiversity, because even beyond the tide pools, the ocean contains so much diversity.

This flat Lorax is hanging out with the seagulls on Deerfield beach. This applies to the topic of native species because the gulls of Deerfield are indeed native to the area. This applies to APES as a whole because native species are crucial in order to maintain functioning ecosystems, no matter the niche of said native species.

This Lorax is chilling atop the surface of a tree stump. This picture applies to the topic of land use. This applies to the topic of land use because eventually this tree stump will be removed entirely to clear area for human development. This applies to APES as a whole because human development is a part of HIPPCO. And in order to buffer/reduce the destruction of the environment, the use of land which provides for an ecosystem should be protected from human development.
