I am an average achiever unless I am highly interested than I will be 110% in.

I am most interested in learning about different cultures and places around the world. I prefer to learn in a variety of ways of small groups and large groups. However, if it is too large, I will become more of an observer than active participant. I am a high achiever in reading than math. I also like to learn in a variety of ways video, reading, and experiencing it. I am a notetaker. I have always loved school and learning.

Groups I belong to : I am part of the SEL committee at school. Growth Mindset, building positive school communities, and SEL are all topics I am interested in so I feel actively involved in the meetings- it is a passion of mine.

I am part of an upper elementary team of 3 teachers. I feel valued and safe to share my ideas, even when I am thinking outside the box. I am always willing to try new ideas and flexible. But, I am a student-centered thinker.

I belong to several district committees and work groups. Characteristics that help me learn include "think" time, discussion that includes all participants, visual aids, and reflection.

I am an average to high-average learner depending on how interested I am in the material and the presentation. I learn least from reading as it takes me longer to comprehend. I am very creative, visual and hand-on doing very well with problem solving. My biggest strength is a "strategic learner". I expect top of the line effort, resourcefulness, and collaboration from myself. I learn best when collaborating with others, more small group. I learn the most when it is relevant.

Growing up I was always interested in math, science and social studies due to them being more hands on and real life centered. I have always been a flexible and quick learner, if I am interested and see a purpose in what I am learning. As an adult I enjoy learning through small groups with like minded community members or educators and visiting/experiencing what I am learning about.

I'm typically a quick learner when motivated/interested. I primarily learn best through auditory, visual, and interpersonal learning; in essence I do best when I can listen to someone explain something while looking at a visual, and then getting to actually do the hands on work with others. I'm likely to get really bored when left alone to work on something and am likely to wander away from it if i'm not interested.

I am a part of that 'new hire' group, so many things in education are new to me. Traditionally growing up, I was a 'high achiever' and would learn best when expectations were laid out, and I was given time to complete assignments independently or in a small group of friends.

Characteristics that help me learn are examples, clear instructions, and independent or self selected groups.

I used to think teaming was a lot of work, now I think it is much more manageable when you share the load.

Third graders were young to be working toward this goal, but hearing the other group with K-3, we are on a good track.

I used to think time was the constant and learning was more variable depending the teacher, now I think we need to shift to learning being the constant and time the variable. Using the time we have extremely efficiently and effectively is key.

I used to think there were limited ways to group learners.

Now I think there are many more ways to flexibly group learners that I had ever considered in the past.

I used to think my gut says we are doing the right thing and scared what if I am wrong/don't want to lead the school in the wrong direction. Now I think I am strongly backed by data, others experiences and so much more that we are doing the right thing. Very exciting.

I liked it all. Still would like to learn more about the nitty gritty how to be more flexible in our grouping. Sounds like just can't do alone and need to help each other which is a start.

I would like to see how to apply what we've learned. I'm set in the concepts but knowing how to implement it and how to get the kids to buy in would change it.

I used to think that sharing students would be overwhelming, but now I think of it as sharing the load and a means of support.
