I chose this application because it allows collaboration without the standard "social media" label that our school has a policy against. Students do not have to register which allows for quick and easy use. A teacher can create a personalized web address that students can access from their phones.

I see the experience of using this application will enhance student learning because it is engaging, creative, and convenient . It can be used as homework, review, or formative assessment. This is a way to engage students on weekends, on snow days, or school breaks. This application can be used for brainstorming or group projects.

How is this measured or justified?

I can see using this as a formal assessment tool to determine if students are understanding the lesson. By using the new word in a sentence and posting the sentence to the Padlet, I can see in real time if they understand the word definition, part of speech, and word context. It allows for the teacher to see each student's understating as students can only edit their own "sticky note". This method allows students to re-visit each Padlet for study or review; the application can be edited if students need to revise their sentence.
