I believe a musical like this is a great and invaluable opportunity to gain new skills, meet new people who you might have never met otherwise and to generally have fun doing something outside of university. I have been looking for an experience like this and with a fun musical like legally blonde, I am having a lot of fun and learning so much!

the drama society is super important to the SU as it gives a chance to build confidence and relationships with people outside of uni. Musicals are such an important part of my life as they allow me to feel a sense of freedom and take a step away from reality for a short time. Building these connections and allowing myself to embrace confidence helps me for future experiences aswell.

I believe that having a musical gives the opportunity to show off the great skills we have at UAL. As well as an opportunity to work collaboratively together.

As someone who considered studying MT rather than Fine Art, I was so hoping there would be a musical at UAL to allow me to keep perusing my passions outside of my course. It allows us to branch out and meet other people with common interests in places we wouldn’t have before , being a critical connection as young adults - and allows us to keep doing what we love and enjoy !! Genuinely my favourite thing and brings so much positivity to life!

Doing a musical like this allows students to try new things, expand their skills, meet new people and get out of their comfort zone. It allows students to not only experience something new outside of their studies but to do it in a fun and positive way. As someone that has wanted to try acting and theatre for the longest time, I found it hard to start as there aren't many places you can try something new like this that is affordable for students and open to adults. I was happy to see that UAL was doing a musical and that it was open to all no matter your experience.

Drama is the best. I love it, it’s amazing and the society is full of like minded people that value performance and community. It is good for mental health, confidence, presentation skills, communication. This is the best society and it needs to stay forever.
