The planning tools and evidence statements seemed hard to use at first, but after we got the hang of it things progressed pretty smoothly. After this training I do, all in all, feel more equipped to effectively teach the NGSS standards. Also, I'm more excited about teaching them.

Struggles/challenges:
Initially, my planning partner and I felt overwhelmed until given further guidance. After the experience, we both feel a higher level of comfort in planning in this manner. We were able to create a lesson in a short time frame. It was also helpful to join with another group working on the same standard. It was interesting to see how closely our lessons aligned due to this common planning tool.
