I think the overall layout is clear, but somehow it looks a bit off from traditional magazines. But still, the layout overall looks nice and the time line given helps with understanding. The "origin" of art practice is a debatable but important question, especially as art can influence the way we live life and treat each other, so belief, and the sources of beliefs are important.

It's interesting that your paper sets out to explore the influence of the ROC government on the land of Taiwan, as I would almost argue that, asides from preserving the artifacts in 故宮 as they retreated out of Mainland China, the ROC government was not an influential artistic force. Interestingly enough, even your first artwork's caption states that Chen Cheng-Puo was trained in a western art practices. It seems as before the ROC government's rule of this land, there was already a pre-existing foreign influence.

Arguably, the ROC government did limit freedom of expression during the 戒嚴 years, but interestingly enough, Taipei Fine Arts Museum, which now hosts progressive and generally leftist (KMT is generally understood as conservative and right leaning) artworks and artists, despite it being established by the KMT governors during the 戒嚴 years. Note: the museum opened in 1983 while 戒嚴 ended in 1987.
