Gaelic Football

Gaelic football training will take place every Monday after school (weather depending) from 2:30-3:30 p.m on our school GAA pitch. Every child from 3rd-6th with an interest in football is welcome to come to training. There is no need to register for football training and there is no cost.

Speech and Drama - Junior students

Speech and drama classes with Tara will take place for Junior Students (Junior Infants - Second Class every Monday from 2:30-3:30 in halla na scoile. Children can be collected from halla na scoile at 3:30.

Homework Club

Homework club will take place every Monday from 1:30 (Junior and Senior Infants) and 2:30 for all other classes until 3:30p.m. Junior Classes will be in room 5 and Senior Classes will be in room 7. This gives you child the opportunity to complete their homework under the supervision and aid of a teacher. Children will have the opportunity to engage in reading/ art activities if finished their homework early. Children can be collected from the school yard at 3:30p.m

Art Club - 3rd and 4th Class

Art club will take place every Monday from 2:30 - 4:00p.m for 3rd and 4th class students. It will take place in the regular classroom and children can be collected from their Classroom at 4p.m. There will be a cost of 15euro for the term to go towards art supplies.

Camogie training

Irish Dancing - Junior Classes

Irish dancing classes will be available with Jane for children in Junior Infants - 2nd Class every Tuesday. The children will be split into two classes. The first class will take place from 2:30-3:30p.m and the second class will take place from 3:30-4:30p.m. Please note that we cannot supervise children who are in the later class so they must leave and return. Children will need to bring their own irish dancing shoes.

Speech and drama classes with Tara will take place for Students in 3rd-6th Class every Wednesday from 2:30-4:00p.m in Halla na scoile. The senior drama committee will be performing the musical 'Matilda' in December. Auditions will be taking place in the coming weeks and interested students will be notified. There is no cost for drama lessons. Children can be collected from Halla na scoile at 4:00p.m

Athletics

Athletics training will take place every Wednesday from 2:30-3:30p.m for children in 1st - 6th class (weather depending). Training will take place in the school pitch. We request that children wear suitable footwear for running to prevent injuries. Permission slips will be given prior to competitions. There is no cost for athletics.

French Classes - 5th and 6th Class

Optional French classes for beginners will take place with John for 5th and 6th Class children every Thursday from 2:30-3:15p.m. This is a great opportunity for Children to learn the foundations of the French language, which a lot of students will go onto study in Secondary School. We are very grateful to John Byrne(secondary school French teacher) for giving up his time.

Choir Practice - Senior Students

Choir practice will take place with Doireann every Thursday from 2:30-3:30p.m for children from 3rd-6th class who are in the school choir. If there are any 3rd class students who would like to join the school choir or any students from other classes who would like to join, please inform Doireann. We would love to have you!

Yoga

Music Classes -1st to 6th Class

Music classes will be available for children after school on Fridays at 2:35, 3:10 and 3:45. Children allotted place in classes at 2:45 will stay in school before their classes. We cannot supervise children who are allotted later times so they must leave and return. Please note that children need to bring their own instruments.
