The so called "witches" would get  villified by church groups, banned by local communities in Britain and abroad, and remembered for its trippy mix of sexual, sado-masochistic and religious imagery.
The people used to believe that witches were something to fear but, all they practiced is the craft of  art and/or science. Women believed that they would participate in spiritual dreams, roaming with the goddess Diana and other spiritual figures that stroke terror with those that encountered it. In the Middle Ages, the Christians viewed these beliefs as mistaken concepts and gradually insisted it as diabolical. In the fifteenth century, diabolical witchcraft had been linked to other elements as well as devilish sorcery and was thought as a crime of heresy.
