Padlet is a technological tool that enables teachers to display a wide variety of documents for their pupils. This tool has lots of advantages.

The owner of the padlet page can freely choose from a wide variety of themes, fonts, and aesthetics to customize the page.

This site allows its users to add a wide variety of files: from PDFs and images to links.

Negative points:

Sadly, some negative things can be found regarding the platform.

It is mandatory to create an account to create and interact with Padlet, and the free version only allows the creation of 3 Padlets.

Another inconvenience is that you can not use the platform offline. You must always have an internet connection to access the files.

It is hard to know about the environmental impact of this platform, as well as finding out how the users’ data is used.

Conclusion:

It is quite a useful platform, and I would use it as a teacher to store my "séquences" to have everything organised.

The pros being greater in number than the cons, I would recommend this platform.

It is a free-to-use website that allows you to modify your file without having to log in with an account. It has only a few buttons to click, so it is very easy to use. It has a minimalist aesthetic, which makes the use of the website easier. There is also no AI integrated into the site.

Disadvantages:

You cannot save your work and modify it later, and there is only one version in English. Thus, the user must understand English correctly to be able to use it.

Conclusion:

I would use it again because it is very easy to use and, most importantly, free and without the need for an account.

It is very easy to use. There are a lot of images/ GIFs and characters that you can choose from. You can display the characters in lots of different positions and add a lot of background elements. GIFs can also be added to make the comic strip more lively.

Disadvantages:

You need to log in/ create an account to save your work. If I were to use it in class, I would need computers to use it and the pupils will most likely get distracted by the website and English would not be used as much. I could not find information if we would be able to change the language. Lastly, it is not completely free to use.

Conclusion:

I will probably not use it because you need an account to save your work, it would take a lot of time to get the students to focus on the work, and if you want to export the document, you would have the watermark on it.

It was a very quick and easy process; thus, I would follow the same steps next time I need to download a YouTube video.

Depending on your computer's settings, these websites should appear in the language selected by default, and since there are no complicated instructions (you only have to click 2 buttons for the video to be downloaded), everything goes smoothly and makes the experience easy and enjoyable.

Microsoft Designer is easy to use. You only need to give the information of what you want in the search bar and wait for the image to appear. However, to use it, you need to log in, and you only have 15 free trials per month. The website can be used in a variety of other languages.

Canva is free to use but requires an account. It also comes in different languages other than English, and the instructions are pretty easy to understand once you find how to import your image.

If I were to do this again, I would use the same websites, but I would rather search for existing images rather than creating one myself with AI.

I continued by chopping the video to under 30 seconds and proceeded to add another image after the video, and added another bit of the mp3 file.

I then had to compress my final video since it was too heavy for Padlet, and I did that with the website called freeconvert.com.

I used websites I am familiar with, and I also often use Clipchamp.

An advantage of these websites is that they are free to use and require no login or fees. However, Clipchamp requires to have a Microsoft account to be able to use it. This site is also available as an app to download on the computer, which makes everything easier. It is freemium but the free plan is more than enough for someone who rarely uses it and it comes with lots of functionalities.

The website requires an account to be able to it. There are some basic buttons to use, but the lack of guidance on the website is very odd. Furthermore, I have the impression that some of the information is written in Spanish; thus, if you are not fluent in Spanish, you might feel lost. To add to these issues, I could not export my map into a PNG file and had to take a screenshot. Therefore, I would not use this site again.

It was quite easy to use. If I were to use it with my students, I would show them fake news that could easily be believed. I would do that with eleven grade students for the axis "Informer et s’informer" in AMC spécialité to show them how easy it is for fake news to be created and spread on the internet, and how important it is for them to develop critical thinking.

I would not use ChatGPT againg to create a séquence, or, if I were to do so, I would specifiy information even more and also give it all the documents I plan to work with. Otherwise, it completely disregards the didactic necessary to teach students and relies on general guidelines

The website is easy to use because it guides you step by step and there are not a lot of complicated instruction. However, it gives a wide variety of activities for the teacher to chose from.

I would use this tool again but I would first check to see if anyone else has already done something similar because it can take quite some time to create an entire activity like this.

If we take the task for week 6, where we had to modify a video. I had to be able to use an editing software, search for a way to compress my video which was too heavy for the portfolio, and I also had to be able to use and manipulate my Padlet.

On the other hand, I have discovered Blooket thanks to this class and I think I will use it from now on.
