Hanukkah is the story of a great victory of the Jews over the Syrian-Greeks. It took place about 2000 years ago. The Greeks wanted to erase the Jewish religion.

A group of brave Jews decided to fight against the Greeks and managed to defeat them.

On Christmas Eve we meet our whole family and wish each other all the best sharing a special kind of bread (Christmas wafer). Then we eat traditional food (we don't eat meat on that day) We have 12 dishes on the table. It is hard to try them all. After the dinner we sing carols and give each other presents.
