Dating back to the 1800's and passed on generation to generation, rituals of masking are an act of Black joy and resistance. We will be inspired and reflect on the power of art. Today, we will make our own suit. We will do our own masking. When people mask, they feel strong and beautiful. I want you to imagine it gives you courage to stand up for something. What might you stand for or up for in your suit?
