Some constraints on the pursuit of knowledge is when resources and information isn't available to us or is unfamiliar to us. Specifically in the area of knowledge of history, a lot of information isn't present or available to us and we are unable to research or come to our own conclusions of something. We have to just trust the sources given to us about history. Specifically, in the object of an old pipe case from the 17th century. To us at first glance, we wouldn't recognise it as a pipe case and if we were investigating something related to it, we would overlook it as it is not something we recognise. We are also unable to verify the fact of is it an actual pipe case or not since we can not investigate or pursue the knowledge first hand as it was from the 17th century. We cannot ask anyone if they have used it or if they what the description says it is is truly accurate.

Some knowledge does belong to certain communities as they could have been the ones that created or invented the type of knowledge or the items. For example, in the Pachisi set, it is an old game from the 19th century that originated from South Asia, this set specifically from India. The knowledge of this game would belong to them as they would be the ones that know and understand how to play the game itself. They are the ones that are able to share their knowledge to others as well if they wanted to, but without them, there wouldn't be the knowledge of the game.

The concept of passing on new knowledge around the world can be likened to the tradition of ofrendas during the Day of the Dead. (which is in the picture above) It's a way to pass on cultural knowledge, stories, and traditions from one generation to another. This can be said about knowledge that is from school, work, or other cultural practices. Shared knowledge can be used to change, influence, or even enhance values or beliefs which is why I chose this photo.

A good justification for a claim is something that gives a proper description and has a good explanation that makes sense in the context, which is also reliable and has proper sources and evidence behind it. In this case, it is a description of an artifact from the Asian Civilisation Museum. It has a justification underneath explaining what it is and how it was used and when. It has proper context with this description along with a historical context with the time period. It is also from the Asian Civilisation Museum which is trusted to have received all its objects from somewhere reliable and authentic.
