         <title>Wake Island December 11, 1941</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On December 11th the Japanese attacked Wake Island. The US&nbsp; Navy managed to sink one destroyer ship but it wasn't enough.          <title>Battle of Midway June 4 1942</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On the morning of June 4th the Japanese attacked the US base on Midway. After their initial attack the US came in and started fighting. The US sank the Akagi, Kaga, and Soryu carriers. The last carrier Hiryu was later sank.          <title>Guadalcanal Campaign August 7 1942 - February 9 1943 </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The American troops first landed on the Guadalcanal island August 7th and started fighting. They got through the defense after some fierce fighting but met little resistance after. But Japan then sent reinforcements that arrived. The next following days marked the first deadly naval battle of the war. After a lot of fighting the US pushed out all of the resistance in the islands. With the Japanese losing they took out their anger on the civilians causing the Manila Massacre.
