Tondorme Esherbin, a notorious criminal in the employ of Teemo the Hutt has gone missing. He has been suspected of having ties to a vast criminal syndicate called the Black Sun, and his absence is conveniently timed with missing encrypted data discs describing Teemo's plans to move in on the spice trade.

Fearing betrayal, Teemo has sent the Bounty Hunter and Assassin Mercurion to deal with Tondorme. And he has sent his tech genius Sno'Anpirr the Wookiee to recover the stolen data, and to make sure Tondorme hasn't broken the encryption, and the Trandoshan Mercenary Ardiss Kul to watch Sno's hide and protect the data discs.

READ:

Tondorme's speeder had a transponder, as most of Teemo's employees are want to do. Make an easy Piloting check to make good time to Tondorme's last-known coordinates, prior to the signal cutting out.

_____

The party arrives in the wastes, and can explore.

Average Perception check to notice single-file tracks in the sand, though they cannot be made out - but these wastes are not uninhabited.

There is a crashed speeder in the NE section of the wastes, with a cave in the SW area. Several sets of tracks lead back and forth between the two.

The Cave

READ:

The interior of the cave provides a welcome relief from the heat. It is relatively deep, but lit with several dim glowlamps. It appears that inside the cave is... or was Tondorme's hideout. Crates, tools, and several lie strewn about the floor.

_____

Average perception to find salvageable goods.

Of the bodies lying on the floor, there are three Tusken Raiders in the middle of the room. Inspection reveals carbon scoring, and it is relatively obvious that they were killed by blaster fire.

Farther back, propped against the back wall and bleeding is Tondorme. He is too far gone to save at this point, having been shot several times by the Raiders' slugthrowers.

He laughs a cynical laugh when the party finds him. "You're too late..."

There is a small transponder flashing in his palm, and it tumbles to the ground as he dies.

[He has already called to his Black Sun contacts to come retrieve the data.

Additionally, Tondorme was unable to kill all of the Tuskens who assaulted him. Several of them fled to bring reinforcements.

At the time that the Black Sun land in a small Murrian Transport, The Lucky Devaronian, the Tuskens will attack. The Tuskens will attack everyone, the Black Sun will defend themselves and try to acquire the data. If the PCs didn't do anything to hide their speeder, or use guile, the Black Sun will figure things out pretty quickly (particularly if the PCs turn off Tondorme's transponder).]
