We all get excited when we get our first pet for the first time ! But a cocktail needs at least one week to get used to you, you can't just hop in and start acting like you had her/him for 3 years, you have to give it time so you got to be patient.

One week later..

A week later or so, he will most probably feel safe about his/her surroundings so you can try to let them out the cage
But... Don't force them ! Just start of with opening the cage and seeing if they get out if they don't give them a little more time, if they do that's great news ! That means that you cocktail feels safe, soon you can even start touching him/her, of course if you feel comfortable doing that.

What to eat ?!

Feed him/her, Cocktails love food ! So by keeping them alive give them healthy choices to eat:

Bath time !

Awwww, my cocktail seems so sad all alone ... Oh I know ! Let's get him a bird buddy. The perfect match for a pet cocktail is a budgie, You might be wondering " Why not another cocktail Hala ? " Well it's because they'll play in a rough way, which looks like their fighting but, Hold up ! Some cocktails get along like ones that have lived together all there life or brothers and sisters, depends.

Cocktails are in love with back scratches ! And, They love to get a lot of attention, they also hate staying inside the cage, so keep them outside for a short while until it's there bed time, and they need to get at least 12 hrs of sleep, they even take naps in the daytime.
