Roman woman had to do what their fathers and husbands told them. A father chose who his children would marry and usually had his daughters married at 14 years of age. The marriage became final after she had lived at the husbands house for 12 months.
Boys were educated and taught to be brave, loyal and proud. Girls were taught household duties by their mothers. As soon as they were old enough the children of poor families had to work. EQUESTRIANS    Wealthy members of the Plebeian class, who were involved in business or tax collecting.

PLEBEIANS     Or Lower class, who were poorer farmers and workers and made up the majority of the population.
