The Würzburg witch trials were trials that took place in the town of Würzburg Germany during 1625-1631 Where anyone of any status could be prosecuted and executed as a witch for any reason that Prince-Bishop Julius Echter von Mespelbrunn deemed reasonable. The prince was also the reason the witch trials started in the first place. This trial specifically is one of the biggest mass witch hunts in recorded history as well as one of the most severe due to around 1,000 deaths,the economic and social downfall, the wreckage it caused withing families and friends and more.
